Not So Subtle

Natalie was home sick for a week recently.  February was a bit of a doozy for us in terms of illness.  Scout didn't miss a beat though and loved having sick kids home from school.  One day, Natalie attempted to do her make-up work on the floor...but homework certainly wasn't on Scout's agenda that afternoon.  

The Mind of Scout

"That eraser looks fun to chew on!"

"She seems to be ignoring me.  I'll try the old paw over the page trick." 

"This girl is focused!  Maybe I'll just do the lean."

"Can't she take a hint?!  She must not feel my lean.  Leaning, leaning..."

"Hmph.  Perhaps if I just rest my head right here."  

"Pardon, am I in your way? Put down that pencil and pet me already!"
