Christmas Day...after a delicious meal, Scott played some Christmas songs for his great grandma. 

Scott received a tool kit and immediately used it to fix a few things around the house.  This could come in very handy to have an additional fix-it man in the house!

The girls took advantage of the beautiful post-Christmas weather and played basketball in shorts!

A Trek in the Woods

Some families venture to Florida for the holidays, and some travel to cold, muddy woods.  Despite the location, we did manage to enjoy this little adventure. 

This woods is full of virgin timber, and Jon is always so impressed.  Thankfully it means lots of stops to admire big trees!:)

Overall, we all had a great time.  Scout's muddy paw prints that she left in our van will help us to remember our day for awhile!

Bear with me on this one!  I want to have these all in one place for my blog book. 

Each Sunday throughout the summer and fall, I took Scout's picture by the cornfield.  After a few weeks, Scout learned the drill and would go pose for another picture by the growing corn. 

 

 (By Week 14, Scout started to get a little bored with the process.)
