Memories from May

Kate has taken up a love for rollerblading, and Scott decided to give gardening a shot.  It started out small with some sunflowers in pots, but has since expanded!  (More later!)

Natalie had the opportunity to be in The Lion King drama at school.  It was fun to watch her and her friends perform!

A few flamingo friends!:)

Happy Birthday, Natalie!  THIRTEEN?!!?  How can this be?

April Highlights

Jon & Scott hiked a difficult trail in early April.  They have become quite the hiking buddies!

Natalie & her buddy completed a baking project, and I got to be a taste tester!  They made a copycat Starbucks drink, brownie bites, and cake pops.

Natalie went to a fun murder mystery birthday party.  She was assigned to be Miss Anna Alabama.  Fun times!

Easter Sunday- He is Risen!

Visiting with Great Grandma...

Another school project in the books!

Kate got glasses!  She hasn't been wearing them too often, but she has them for seeing far away. This is a picture with her teacher and her look-alike teacher doll.

Last spring program- practicing on the way there (until I told her that I couldn't take anymore practicing!)  Good job, Kate!

March!

Scott took a week long trip to Washington D.C. with his 8th grade class.  He LOVED it!  Scott is a history lover so he enjoyed all of the stops and soaked in lots of information.  It was the longest I've been away from one of my children, and it wasn't my favorite week.  College is going to be rough.  But we made it, and it helped to know that Scott enjoyed himself!

Kate enjoyed a field trip to the Children's Museum.

Kate and her classmate dressed as flight attendants for a presentation on Alaska.

Natalie wrapped up basketball season by getting the Most Improved Player award.  Yahoo!

Guilty face!

Fun with sweet friends on Spring Break!

Scott played the keyboard for chapel band again this school year.  I love hearing him play!

February Highlights

Basketball continued through February.  It was so fun watching Natalie and her friends play!

The girls, my mom, and I went to the Alisa Childers conference at church.  It was so good!  Lessons learned there continue to come to mind, and we are now huge fans of Alisa.
Valentine's Day party card box- last one we'll have to make!:)

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY, SCOUT!
The girls and I met Molly & her girls for a girly getaway!  We hope to make this a regular tradition!  Everyone had a fun time.

Scott often refuses to join in the pictures- so Scout must take his place.

Kate got an expander.  It was certainly an adjustment to having the extra metal in her mouth, but after about a week, she seemed to get used to it.
