Zion National Park

Our next day was spent at Zion.  What a beautiful park!  The weather was perfect, too.

Kate got a tow from Natalie for a little ways!  There was definitely a lot of climbing.

Jon, Scott, and Natalie went even further to the West RimTrail.
The chipmunks were VERY friendly!  Kate thought they were a little too friendly.
Scout Lookout on Mother's Day!  A Mother's Day to remember for sure!

The downhill was a lot more enjoyable!  So many switchbacks!

White Pockets

We ventured over to Arizona on this day to explore White Pockets.  Such a cool place!

We had to do a fair amount of climbing and scrambling.  I'm not sure the pictures do it justice!

Scott can put this on his "Coolest Places to Fly a Drone" list.  He got some great footage!

You can't tell, but we were up pretty high for this picture!

Beautiful!

Grand Canyon

Four members of our family had never visited the Grand Canyon, so we were eager to see this spectacular site.

Visiting another world landmark with the history teacher himself!

Incredible views!

Gateway Arch & Buckskin Gulch

Homeschooling allowed us to take our first ever May family vacation!

Over the course of the year, the kids have learned several new landmarks from the best World History teacher that I know.  My dad taught the kids many world landmarks including this US one- so the kids were spewing off facts about it as we walked up to the Gateway Arch.  Their history teacher should be proud!
Open and uncrowded pools were a huge plus!
Our first day in Utah was spent at the slot canyons in Wire Pass.  We met my parents out there and had a great time hiking Buckskin Gulch.

Squeeze!

We each had different favorites from this vacation, and this spot might have been mine.

This is the pared down version of the pictures by the way.  Jon suggested that I try to take less pics next time so that narrowing them down is simpler!:)  It was hard though because every corner we turned, I thought, "WOW!  I need a picture of THIS!"  This place was very impressive!
