October Picture Overload

October has been a very busy and fun month...and it's not even over yet!  Here are some of the highlights...
Cedarville Homecoming.  Kate's highlight:  Meeting the bee!
Jon's Highlight:  Standing in the freezing rain while watching a lame parade.  (True love!:)
My Highlight:  Getting to see my friend, Amy, and getting to hold her sweet newest baby
Natalie on crazy hair day at school
My friend introduced me to the idea of playing Playdough outside this summer. BRILLIANT!  It may never be allowed on the dining room table again.
A beautiful weekend roadtrip to Ohio for my beautiful friend Molly's beautiful outdoor wedding.  Did I mention it was beautiful?!:)
The kids took a trip with Grammy and Great Grandma to Kelsay Farms and then planted some tulips for the spring in our front flower bed.

Fun trip to the park on Scott & Natalie's 2 week Fall Break...

Kate is almost officially potty-trained.  Well...not enough to totally ditch the diaper bag yet, but enough to celebrate with a Way to "Go" Kate cookie!:)  She's so funny.  She was so against the idea, but has really done wonderfully the last couple of weeks.  She has become a master at using public restrooms...her favorite.  Despite going right before we leave home, she always gets the urge when we walk into a store/restaurant/etc.  She asks, "Does this place have a toilet?"  If I tell her no, she gets big eyes and says, "Is there a diaper on me?!"
 Bonfire, anyone?

Highlight of Scott's fall break:  Riding on a real combine!!  A relative gave the kids a ride, and Scott LOVED it.  He listened carefully to everything he was taught about it and is convinced that he's ready to drive one on his own now.

It's led to a lot of this...
We love this time of year!

  1. LOVE this post! You guys have been super busy this month! I'm sad I missed homecoming at CU this year...maybe we'll make it next year! Looks like the kids had a blast riding in the combine...how cute! Maybe you have some future farmers on your hands?? :)
