Jumping Back to January

For the first time in a long time, I have the afternoon home alone in a very quiet house. What better time to try and get caught up on my blog?  I'm only 6 months behind- eek!

Thinking back to the start of the year, Scott studied and went to take the test to get his driving permit.  He sat next to another kid taking the test who kept turning to his mom in the waiting area announcing that he missed another one...and another one...and eventually announcing that he failed.  Talk about distracting!  Thankfully though, this didn't seem to bother Scott as much, and he did great!   The lady at the BMV said she was surprised at how quickly Scott flew through the test.

The girls made Scott a CONGRATS cake for getting his learner's permit...

After some loops in the church parking lot, Scott was quickly ready to hit the road.  All of the driving of the gator certainly gave him an advantage!

Natalie decided to give it a try too.  Two more years to wait for her...

The girls' homeschool experience is heavy on the arts & crafts and home ec activities!  Can't take any credit for teaching either of those!:)
Kate got a stand mixer for Christmas and regularly puts it to great use!  Thank you, Kate!!!

The thrill of obtaining firewood continues for the guys...

Making memories with friends...

Natalie had fun with friends at the Middle School Winter Retreat.
