Quotes from November

Yes, I realize that what your own kids say is 10 times funnier than what other kids say.  Regardless, here are some of their lines from the past several weeks that have caused me to smile.
*Natalie:  I'm thankful for my little sister Kate.  I like how she smells.  Everyone has a different smell.
*Natalie (repeated a lot lately with a smile):  Are you thinking about Christmas?  (Said most often while we are passing the toy aisle)
*Kate (while walking through the Kroger bakery one morning): Let's stop here and think for awhile.
Me:  What should we think about?
Kate:  Cake.  We should get one for my birthday.  (Which occurred a month ago)

*The kids were all playing school in the basement today, and I overheard them having a lockdown drill and trying to hide all of their pretend students.  Funny, but sad.  Their reality is going to be much different than mine.
*Stocking Stuffer??

*Scott's teacher told me a cute story about Scott writing sentences on his whiteboard.  He had written a sentence and put an exclamation point at the end.  Mrs. Lewis said that if it had an exclamation point that he needed to read it with excitement and that she was ready to hear it.  She said that without missing a beat, Scott quickly erased the exclamation and left it as a period.  Oh- like father, like son.

*Kate (while sitting in the corner with an ink pen):  I probably will need a bath today, Mommy.
*Kate (Referring to Natalie):  That girl is out of control!

*Kate:  We should put me in preschool, right Mommy?  (Don't tempt me, Kate!:)

  1. I don't know Lindsey, your kiddos are pretty funny! I don't have any of my own to compare them to, though. :) Thanks for the laughs this morning!
